Will you remember Bestie on Sunday?
To mark the first anniversary of George Best's death (25th November) his family will be coming to Manchester for the game versus Chelsea on Sunday 26th and we will be handing over funds raised by members. They are continuing their work promoting the George Best Foundation (GBF) and we've been given permission by MUFC to hold a bucket collection for the GBF outside the ground before the match.
George's family are wonderful, warm, friendly people so we want to make them feel good about the affection that remains for George and his family amongst United supporters. We also think the GBF is a great positive way to remember George and a fantastic charity too. That's why we want to do our best to raise as much money as possible and that's why we're asking for your help:
If you are coming to the game please consider if you could either:
(a) volunteer to help with the collection (as a small incentive everyone who helps will receive one of the Exclusive Limited Edition 60 of the Best Badges on the day (*see below) and also a copy of the Commemorative Programme through the post when we receive them from the printers shortly) or (b) If you can't help with the collection could you spare a few coins yourself and make your matchgoing mates aware of the bucket collection too?
If you're not going to the game you can send a donation directly to the

We will send a further email out with a little more info in the next day or two but if you could let us know now whether you will be able to take part that would be much appreciated.
