For Members Information: This info has now been updated with effect from 13th March 2008

Two members had been banned for 24 hours under the forums zero tolerance policy due to the misuse of the shout box. Members are respectfully asked not to use the forum for the use of profanity, personal insults or anything that is likely to cause distress to other members or viewing members of the public.

For those unsure of the (NEW) ruling:

1 Verbal Warning either by shout box or pm
1 official warning via pm
24 hour ban
1 Week
permanent

Bit of an explanation though non is needed. All staff were told " zero tollerance " regarding foul language/swearing and abuse in the shoutbox and that resulted in these two getting a 24 hour ban from me.
They have both been warned many many times in the shoutbox and with PMs from every member of staff.
No-one wants to ban anyone but sometimes you have to show that things like that cannot keep going on.
The shoutbox is what every member and guest sees when they come onto here and seeing things like they were typing does not look good.

Some may have wanted both bans to be longer or permanent but i thought at the time 24 hours is fair.

If anyone has any problems or further questions, you know how to use the PM system.

Last night was a sad ocassion ...

I found it necessary to ban 2 members permanently ...

Both have been guilty of disruptive behaviour in here ...

Trying to cause trouble with the shoutbox ...

Sending PMs to members here with slanderous and derogatory remarks about
the staff here - telling people "this place is going to the dogs" and other such
nonsense along these lines.

Both members have been approached in the past by myself and other Staff
members to try to see what the problem is - and we got no co-operation.

For 2 months now I have been patient with them - I tried hard to make it work
but after recent events it became necessary they leave.

When you consider that membership here has grown by 125% in the past 3
months ...

Activity on here is up by 300% in the past 3 months ...

Traffic on the site including all of you and prospective members and guests is up
by 201% in the past 3 months ...

I would hardly consider that this place is going to the dogs - in fact we are one of
the fastest growing football forums in the UK I would imagine !!

All due to the staff and YOU the members ...

So disruptive behaviour trying to ruin the place is not what we expect or accept.

So now we move on ... :)

Tonight I had reason to read through the shoutbox and found a member who had already been banned for 24 hours for swearing and sexual innuendo was at it again. In spite of warnings from a Supermod he carried on. He is now banned for 7 days. If he infringes the rules again - its permanent. 3 strikes, your out.

Following on from the clean sheet at 1800 hrs tonight - a member has just received a verbal. (first) warning in the shoutbox for use of verbal use.

Monday 7th April:

I was kept busy and this is not good ...

2 members banned for 1 day each

Time and time again I have told people NO ARGUING AND ABUSE IN THE
SHOUTBOX !!! It's not hard is it - use PMs for your petty fighting.

They were asked nicely to stop the arguing and they chose not to - so I stopped
it.....they were NOT banned for what was said - this is irrelevant to me.

They were banned for ignoring my request to stop ...

The_Red_Willy_Wonka banned permanently for making obscene posts.

Rule 10 has been slightly amended to reflect first offenders getting a 1st warning. IF that person does not receive another warning within ONE calendar month, his (or her) warning is removed from the record. eg: Warned on 4 Apr will see it removed on 4th May.

This does not affect any member who were given further warnings.

A member has just been awarded a 24 hour ban for persistent spamming in spite of warnings from other members
