I think the point Carly is making is that e.g. If Sal says 110, Carly says 111 and I say 109, then Sal has virtually no chance of winning unless he gets it exactly right. Another e.g. Someone says 100 then the nest highest guess is 120 then I can pick 101 and have a fairly good chance of winning.
