Arsenal were torn apart today by a rampant Manchester United side bouncing
back in the only way they know how from the derby defeat of last week.
From the front to the back, every player was on top of their game as Arsenal
were comprehensively outplayed by the Champions.
Wayne Rooney returned to the side and showed United what they had been
missing by scoring the opener in the FA Cup clash. Darren Fletcher's header
made it two shortly after.
A defence splitting pass from Michael Carrick left Nani to control and shoot past a
helpless Lehmann.
Arsenal's misery was compounded when on 48 minutes Emmanuel Eboue was
deservedly red carded for a dangerous challenge on Evra.
United got the fourth and final goal when Nani floated a perfect pass to the far
post which was met again by Darren Fletcher, who was in inspired form today.
This is the perfect response from united following last weeks defeat and bodes
well for the midweek game away to Lyon.
