I have no idea, as to what made me a Man Utd supporter. I simply cannot remember why.
All i know is i started supporting them around the 93/94 season, and ever since then, I've loved them.

I would have to say that my Uncle, Sean, got my following United. When I was six and in hospital, after a car crash, he bought m my first ever United kit as a get well present. I still have it now, and printed on the back is Beckham 7, as the "SHARP" logo fills the front. He told me so much about the team and I really learned most about what I know about United from him. He even has the ticket of his first ever United game, against Leeds. Then as I grew up, I began to watch the games, travel to the odd few, and read books and books from former players. And low and behold, I've winded up on a terrific forum cahtting to a bunch of other great United fans.

Me. Well, where to start? The history, the passion, the amazing strike 4 of Ole, Teddy, Cole and Yorke - how I miss those days. Being 16, I feel I am spoilt by the success United have been blessed with since 1993. I believe I take too much for granted. I hold my hands up to that.

I took it upon myself to learn the legacy of MUFC. The history, what United stands for. The Busby Babes, the Busby era, the Munich Air Disaster, pre-war era, the barren years, 1968, passion, the never say die attitude.

That is what attracted me to United. MAN UNITED WILL NEVER DIE.

We have proved that. United risen from the ashes 50 years ago; Sir Matt and Jimmy Murphy rebuilt the team to conquer Europe 10 years after when they should've. From Sir Matt's last years as United boss, to when Sir Alex began in 1986. We were still there. MAN UNITED WILL NEVER DIE.

Sir Matt died in 1994. Knowing he has left HIS club in good hand in Sir Alex. Two scotsman. Two knights. The knights of Manchester.

All which United stand for - THAT is why I support Manchester United Football Club.

The first memory I have of football is watching a game on TV when I was 4 or 5. I remember one team being in yellow and the other team being in red. (Looking back now I know it was Norwich City v Man United). The team in yellow scored and I kept asking my dad if it was offside (even though I had no clue what that meant!!!) and, for some reason, got really upset when he said it wasn't.

United lost the game 1-0 but from then on I started following the team in red and slowly grew more and more obsessed as I got older. :D

Born in Urmston in the late 60s, brought up in Eccles. In the early 70s, Citeh were winning things, United were ***** so you'd think it was a logical choice? It was.

Stylo Matchmakers were the footwear of choice for all like-minded lads and I hated Sean O'Gorman the blue from up the street. He wore that blue shirt like it was something special...

For almost twenty years there was no title and only the odd cup win and do you know what? It was f*cking ace being a Red. We didn't care, we were Red because it was unfashionable and NOT the thing to be at that time...

Around our way, you only ever saw "MUFC" sprayed on the wall of the rec, or the local school. From a kid's eyes, everything looked like it had just been coloured in. Freshly painted for your first sight. I rode me Grifter to the Cliff in the summer holidays and still have Arthur Albiston and Steve Paterson's autographs in me book. Strewth that bloody bike was heavy for a near twenty-mile round trip on eleven year old legs.

In the back garden after the 77 cup final I was Stuart Pearson doing that clenched-fist salute as I shot between the drainpipe and the prop holding up the washing line. I was Jimmy Greenhoff after the 79 semi replay, but I was distraut a few weeks later... :( I bet we felt worse than the Bayern fans in 1999. Well, maybe not...

When Sexton got the sack, two of my classmates applied for the job and the jammy gets got to go to Old Trafford and were in the Daily Mirror. Not long after we were ten points clear at Christmas but still lost out to the scouse ba*tards!

We've always had crackin times as Reds - winning, or the other thing! :D
