Sir Alex is insisting that William Gallas should have been given his marching orders
against United, for his non-stop fouling of Nani !

Several times the Gunners star kicked pout at him - usually because he was
unable to catch him. Referee Alan Wiley actually missed Gallas clattering into the
back of Nani’s legs - but Fergie didn’t.

Emmanuael Eboue had already been sent off and Sir Alex is convinced Gallas
should have gone too. Gallas spent most of his time before the game accusing
United of being arrogant. Seems he is incapable of competing with them so he
lashed out on several acassions instead.

Ferguson said: “I thought Gallas should have been sent-off.

‘‘The ref should look at it again. He kicked Nani from behind when the ball was 20
yards away. He should have been red-carded.”

Wenger as usual had excuses - he blamed Nani: Wenger said: “Nani was a little
bit disrespectful when he was juggling the ball. But he’s a young player. I hope
he learns from that.”

Oddly enough Ferguson agreed and said he had given Nani a ticking-off.

He said: “I agree Nani shouldn’t do that. It shows a great deal of courage to do
that but you don’t have to do it. We have had a word with him.

‘‘But this result was a great response to last week’s Derby defeat and I hope it
has an impact on the title.

‘‘When Arsenal come here in April they know they’re going to have a real game.

‘‘It was a fantastic performance. We played with verve and tenacity.

Our passing was terrific and everyone should be proud of themselves.

‘‘They fell flat on a really important day last week. Today we made amends with a
marvellous performance.”

This is United’s biggest win for several years over Arsenal but Wenger said: “ You
will see a different Arsenal. We will be in a different shape and hopefully so will
the pitch.

‘‘It’s a disgrace. When you consider there are players worth £20m and you can’t
pass the ball without it bouncing all the time – it’s a disgrace.

‘‘The groundsman is at the same level as our performance today.’’
