William Gallas has escaped punishment following his coming-together with Nani during Arsenal’s 4-0 FA Cup defeat to Manchester United.
Gallas appeared to aim a token kick at the Portuguese winger after Nani had showboated with a few kick-ups.
Sir Alex Ferguson said after the game he felt the French defender deserved to see red for the incident, which went unseen by referee Alan Wiley.
The FA have disagreed with the United manager though, deciding Gallas was not guilty of any wrongdoing at Old Trafford.
An FA spokesman said: "Having viewed the footage, the referee was not satisfied that it showed evidence of violent conduct and therefore no further action will be taken."
The news will be greeted by Arsene Wenger, who risked the possibility of losing his captain for Premier League games against Birmingham, Aston Villa and Wigan.
That fate has already befallen fellow defender Emmanuel Eboue, who was sent off during the match for a challenge on Patrice Evra.

What a joke. So kicking someone when the ball is gone isn't violent conduct?

What does a player have to do to have the FA actually punnish them. If the ref didn't see ot well, it just simply has to be dealt with the people, no, sorry, the clowns in the FA. Another shocking decision, but Jazz is right, the 4 - 0, drubbing will have been like pouring a bucket of salt on a gashed wound! lol
4-0, 'nuf said!

we could have done with gallas getting a three game ban tho!!! this is ridiculous!!!
is dein still with the FA? it should be brought to a higher power or something cos its simply BULL****!!
last season rooney and scholes had to serve 3match bans after getting red cards in the amsterdam tournament, something gerrard got away with the year previous! the FA is so anti united its ridiculous!!

They are anti-United cos we are the best.
Eventually we will land a break when we badly need one. These things usually go both ways eventually.
Whether Gallas got a ban or not, they have come out of this looking like losing thugs, where United coming out smelling of roses after a kick ass performance.
