I've participated in a few of these in other threads and had a blast. Some of you forum hoppers may have seen something similar before.
Basically, the idea is some form of story, scenario, etc. and each player acts out a character role. I've participated in games from various settings including detective, military, mafia, etc.
One detailed example of a game I was in: Everyone is on an island doing scientific/medical research stuff on a new virus. Unfortunately, the virus has broke out on the island and they have to either escape the island alive, or find a cure. The virus turns the person into a zombie-like creature and the players are trying to find the cure. One player starts already infected. His/her goal is to infect the other players, while the other players' goal is to obviously either find a cure or escape.
Anyway, if people are interested in playing (obviously this is a role playing game), I'll set one up based on a theme voted by the interested parties (poll probably).
The number of players really doesn't matter - obviously the more the better, but it could be played with I would say as little as 4 people (excluding myself). This game will require players to be active to keep the game moving as the game can't progress unless the players make it :)
