Rio Ferdinand has insisted Carlos Tevez is happy at United,
despite spending most of his time on the bench for the last
two games.
Ferdinand thinks Tevez is happy to wait for his chance and
his late equalizer against Lyon on Wednesday proves it.
"I don't think Carlos will be frustrated by starting on the bench,"
"It's a squad game and he's come on before and had an impact.
"Nani did the same. He came off the bench and put two great
balls into the box from which we almost scored on both
occasions.
"So it shows how important it is to have a range of options on
the bench. A lot of teams we'll be competing against in Europe
have those options.
"Arsenal have them, Lyon were able to put on someone like
Ben Arfa in the later stages of the game but our options paid off.
"Carlos and Nani both had a big impact on the game in Lyon."
United were not at their usual best in Lyon but that doesn't
worry the England defender, who insists away from from home
that the result is more important than the performance.
"Away from home, performances come a long way second.
"At this stage, we need to concentrate on results. We've got
an away goal and that's going to be a big advantage to take
back to Old Trafford.
"To score an away goal is important. We did that and I think
we've got what we deserved."
