Miguel Veloso insists he is happy to wait until the end of
the season before deciding on his future with Sporting.
The highly rated defensive midfielder is reportedly a
target of Manchester United and Arsenal, Fiorentina are
also said to be interested in luring him to Italy.
The Portuguese international had a good game as Sporting
finished up 5-0 winners of a UEFA Cup tie with Swiss club
FC Basle.
Veloso is under contract with Sporting until 2013 but a decent
Summer bid would likely be accepted by the Portugal club.
"Now my head is only in Sporting," Veloso told the Portuguese
media. "And until the end of the season I do not desire to follow
talk about my future.
"Sporting say my position is rare and it would be very difficult
to reject (a bid)."
His agent Paulo Barbosa has said he has received calls from clubs
about Veloso, but no firm offers.
"I have received some calls from European clubs about the
situation of the player," added Barbosa. "But still nobody has
presented a formal offer to Sporting."
