A man carrying a rucksack allegedly scaled the "high security" fencing at Heathrow today and ran in front of a moving aircraft. He was soon arrested by Police and the rucksack has also been recovered.
Police are treating it as a terrorist related incident but strongly denied that it was a administrator from a famous United site attempting to hitch a lift out of the country.
Sky News went over to a reporter standing at a fence who reported that she could not see anything at all, no aircraft, no police, no nothing. "Thank you for that information" was the follow up!! "Lets go back to Kath, on the fence -what can you see now?" - I can see 2 planes taxiiing.
Classic!
These planes that are taxiing, may just be touting for business!
Sky Again!! (they really are good at this). "Lets talk now to an expert on this matter. Can you tell me what is happening?"
"Well I am actually in Kuwait! I can only see what you are seeing"!
Another expert: "If this is an environmental protest then I would add that for every plane up there in a holding pattern, for every ton of fuel burnt, 2 tons of CO2 are released into the atmosphere - so environmentally this is a disaster!"
Update: Text on Sky: A man was arrested at Heathrow after running in front of a plane carrying a rucksack. Why was the plane carrying a rucksack???
