Bayern Munich appear to have hinted they would be prepared to do a deal at the right price.

Manchester United were thwarted in their efforts to land the Canadian-born England international from the Bundesliga giants last summer after declaring their interest in the star.

The Red Devils are reportedly still keen to land the 25-year-old, although chief executive David Gill recently stated the club prefers to do business at the end of the season.

However, Bayern have countered that move by changing their stance on the player's future and conceding they would be forced to strongly consider large offers for the England ace.

"In principle, we were right to stick to our guns over Owen," Bayern president Franz Beckenbauer is quoted in the Daily Mail.

"If a player has signed a new contract with us, then tries to move for more money, we are within our rights to say no.

"But this is different and if we receive an offer on the scale that has been mentioned it is going to have to be given serious consideration."

The right price is now supposed to be not less than £20 million.

Also revealed that OH's injury is not healing at the "accelereated" rate it was believed to be and he'll only resumelight training after 26 Jan, when the Bayern Munich team return to start the second part of the Bundesliga season after the scheduled winter break.

I think 15 million is the ideal price for Hargreaves. Thought he shone in the last World Cup, he has been an inconsistent performer over years. He was tried in the wings, where he was a disappointment. It should also be noted that Hargreaves is an injury prone player.

I think 25 million is too much a gamble! 15million should be ideal!
