Manchester United midfielder Anderson is hoping to repeat his form at Anfield earlier this season as he prepares to face Liverpool's Steven Gerrard tomorrow.

Anderson said: "To me, Gerrard is a big footballer, but I went out that day determined to play with force and not to be preoccupied with him.

"Names don't matter to me. I am finding that I can raise my level and offer more when I am playing against the big stars and this is how it was when I played against Gerrard.

"He is one of the best midfielders in Europe and it is hard to stop him. It will be again.

"It was a tough battle with him when we played last time. He was hurting at the end but he was gracious and I respect him for that."

United boss Sir Alex Ferguson added: "Anderson can handle anything. He's got a terrific belief in himself. Like a lot of Brazilian players, he was just born to play."

AAAANNNDDEERRRSON-SON SON. Form with Andy doesn't matter. He'll just keep an eye and follow Gerrard. Wherever the Scouse may be on the pitch, Andy is sure to be there to ou muscle, out pass and tackle him for every ball. In the end Gerrard will come out sore again.

Tbh, I hve gotta' say ue are absolutely spot-on.
Fergie's juz' using his same, old tactic trying to
convince Liverpool that he will field a player by
making him come out with a few pre-match interviews.
I think that he will prefer the Scholes-Hargreaves
centre-midfield partnership combo. ;)
(And I thot this were already posted by -zuco- in the News Section??)

Scholes must play. And I believe Ferguson thinks so too. I think it will be Scholes-Carrick.

Anderson must play. He is most certainly a big-game player, having proved that earlier in the season against Liverpool and Arsenal.

Play him Fergie, and let him rip into Gerard and everyone else like the lustful little midfield terrier he is ;)

Gerrard never really performed today at all. He was pretty anomalous. Having said that no-one particularly shone but Anderson still lived up to his worand didn't let Steven Gerrard get the better of United.

Anderson-son-son
Is better than Kleberson
Anderson-son-son is our midfield magician
To the left, to the right
Do the samba beat tonight
He is big, he is hard
And he s**t's on Steve Gerrard
