Cristiano Ronaldo has become only the third player to win the Barclays Premiership Player of the Month Award twice in a row.
The in-form Manchester United winger picked up the December award to follow in the footsteps of Dennis Bergkamp (1997) and Robbie Fowler (1995/6).
Ronaldo, 21, scored seven goal in six matches in December to take his season's tally to 12.
That is only one behind the Premiership's top scorer Didier Drogba.
The 21-year-old's scintillating displays throughout December, which yielded seven goals from six Premiership games, ensured that he retained his November award.
"I am really pleased to win this award for the second month in a row," Ronaldo said.
"December was a busy and crucial period for us. The whole team is playing well at the moment and I am enjoying every minute of it. Let's hope we can continue our good work."
The winger's honour means United players have scooped the award in four of the season's opening five months - with Ryan Giggs (August) and Paul Scholes (September) preceding Ronaldo's double.
