Manchester United are allegedly chasing
Sevilla striker Luis Fabiano.
The Brazilian forward is the current top
scorer in la Liga and it is thought Sir Alex
Ferguson is considering a bid to top up his
striking options.
Manchester United are without a targetman
due to Louis Saha's injury problems and
Fabiano would fit the bill perfectly.
Fabiano himself has admitted seeking a move
away from Sevilla after his family were held
at gunpoint last month.
"My family, at this moment, are very scared
and aren't thinking about remaining in Seville,"
Fabiano told Spanish TV. "I'm speaking with
them to see if they would change (their thinking),
but it's not easy."
Sevailla have slapped a massive £44 million price
tag on him to scare off potential suitors but he
insists his buyout clause is a much lower £7 million.
"I'll see what Sevilla have in mind. We spoke
once and didn't arrive at any agreement.
"Things are going very well."
