FIFA 09 Wishlist

Lets make a wishlist for the new aspects of gameplay in FIFA 09.

This forum could write a letter to the makers of Fifa Soccer Series to give them ideas to make th game better. Feedback and Suggestions. Please Give Me a list of things could note so Far i have come up with:

● International Career Modes.

● Mid-Season Loan Outs&Ins.

● More accurate Game play.

● Create Stadiums.

● create new Kits after your contract runs out
(e.g. Colour , Sponsors, Makes & possibly badges. )


Ill keep adding my suggestions and ideas from other places.

FIFA Series : Its recognized by FIFA , It has good game play. Slight areas of improvement could make it the best.

euro2008 is out soon!!.....supposed 2 be a very very good game....like an updated fifa with better player reactions, and all types of weather......

this will keep me happy until fifa 09, but what i want most from fifa 09 really is more stadiums, and to just build on what is a brilliant footballing engine already!

Have a TV company sponsor the game to make it feel more like you’re watching a match on TV (Sky Sports , Setanta , maybe ESPN) although don't overuse the TV companies name or make it too commercial (e.g. "Setanta Sports' FiFa 2009") But please don't have a made up TV company like EA Sports TV , the EA Sports Boots are bad enough).

Better Commentary

- This is hard to explain but say if there is a shot that is narrowly wide have the commentator stop what he is saying and go "Oooooooh" or something. In FiFa 20008 he says all the build up and by the time he comments on the shot the GK has already taken the kick out.

Add a third commentator and switch between him and Andy Gray throughout the season, this would give the game more variety

In Manager Mode be able to have more than one scout. Well, it happens in real life.

Real schedules for league games. (This was in FiFa a few years back but has seemed to have disappeared)

Player requires stretcher or medical car after a serious injury. (Cut Scenes)

Add best teams from minor footballing nations into Rest of World section

Be able to see substitutes warming up + interacting with departing player

In Manager Mode, If you are doing well other clubs offer you jobs. Not just 'Quitting'.

Fix minor mistakes, Community Shield being played at home teams ground etc.

Be able to bring GK up for corners in any situation. Maybe even 3-1 down ?

Weather effects ball physics

Licensed GK gloves (Uhlsport, Reusch, Adidas)

Club Mascots

Child Mascots at start of game (Along with players)

Ball Boys and Cameramen that move

Be able to use USB camera to put your face in the game

More Generic stadiums

Longer Pre-Match scenes

Goal of the Month award

World Player of the Year & European Player of the Year

A few of the best U-21 countries, England, Argentina, Nigeria etc.

In Manager Mode play one day at a time

Be able to stop + start when taking a penalty kick, like C.Ronaldo

More injuries, some club teams have most of their 1st team missing

Real advertising hoardings, not just other EA games

Be able to do 'dances' on the goal-line with the goalie , like in FiFa WC 06.

Show the player walking up the pitch with the ball in a shoot-out.

Have real looking screen animations (e.g. after goals show score + scorers along bottom).

Ability to wear gloves but have short sleeves (Steven Pienaar)

Be able to pick a commentary name for created players

Fans boo + whistle at:

ii)Players who injured one of their players
iii)Players who caused one of their players to get sent off

Different kinds of cheering/atmospheres for different teams (Portsmouth , Spanish or Turkish Teams.)

No cut scenes for bookings or goal kicks.

Be able to save replays straight to your hard drive. We could share in Forums

Real sponsors in Manager Mode

Be able to take Penalties with GK (Rogerio Ceni)

If you are winning by a narrow margin against a big team and your GK catches a cross late in the game you should be able to go to ground and waste a few seconds of time

Integrate Rumble features (Hitting the Post, Crunching tackles etc.)

Player Exchange deals in Manager Mode. Swap deals and 2 players swap for a star one.

In Manager Mode pay player wages weekly, not after every match

Trophy presentations after winning a league or cup

Have Home and Away GK jerseys

Mud Stains appear if player falls down on a wet day (This was in FiFa 2004 I think)

Don’t have 3rd kits as unlockable extras, they should be available from the start

Have 3rd kits for most teams

Delayed offside decisions, The players all celebrate until they notice the Linesman’s flag

Real + Photo-realistic Referees

2 Player Arena Mode [Like NBA 08]

Be able to mix + match kits (Manchester United wear either black, white or red shorts when they are wearing their red jersey)

More Camera Angles (Broadcast, Bird’s Eye)

Much More Player traits (Football Manager 08 has over 50)

Be able to wear neck-warmers (Rolando Bianchi, Manchester City)

Club Personalities e.g. Arsenal like to play the ball short and slowly build up attacks but Bolton Wanderers play long balls up to a target man

In Manager Mode, be able to compare one of your players with a transfer target

Have different size pitch dimension (Emirates Stadium is very wide but Div 2 England is short and narrow)

If your team is losing late in the game you are showed cut-scenes of fans leaving the stadium

Don’t have the defenders congratulating the forward after a goal, this is unrealistic

Louder SFX (Ball hitting post/hoardings, net rippling)

More personalized menus, In FiFa 2004 the background was of your favourite teams jersey

Lots more multiple choice questions in Manager Mode, after 1 season you seem to be getting the same ones again and again

In Manager Mode you should be able to find out info about teams in other leagues

Be able to pick a vice-captain

Be able to pick what players go into the box for corners (Like PES)

If a player is injured for 5 weeks you should be able to play him after 4 weeks but he risks further injury

Goalkeeper occasionally wears a baseball cap if it is a sunny day

Be able to call a player short when taking a free kick

When crossing a free kick have one of your players run over the ball thus disorganising the other teams defence

When defending a free kick choose what action your wall carries out

Players dive in front of the ball if a close range shot is taken in a crowded penalty area

Goal Updates go across the bottom of the screen and fans cheer if a rival team concede a goal.

Fans boo loudly at the end of a game that you have performed badly in

Be able to just play a penalty shootout without going through a whole match

The fans HAVE to be improved they just seem so boring, allthough all of the things said aboce would be great if added to the game but then how long would the game take to load?, remember we dont want our consoles overheating do we?

I don't play consoles anymore, not since I was around 14, but my brother has a PS3 so I might rent Fifa and PES to see what all the buzz is about!!!

No really this list is exactly what the game needs! It will be one of the best games ever if they can include all this. I really want better fans...they haven't like changed the fans since 2002...they look awful so 3D fans is a must...the booing and sound affects of fans also is a good idea. We also need more competitions and leagues which will also mean more teams and more players. I also hate the transfer system of career mode...and the finances too...just because you are bankrupt and you are undefeated which board in the world will sack you? Never! And the salary too is just so stupid. They should look into Football manager!

My wishlist for Fifa 09?

EA stop making ****ty hip hop sound-tracked romanticized football games and have a look at what PES is doing, football simulation.

Well, I liked FIFA 10 years ago, but now it's completely overshadowed by Konami's Pro Evo.
EA should (but won't) do something about that.

I think on the PS2 PES was so much better that FIFA, in every possible way. But now on the PS3 the roles have reversed. FIFA is now the better game. Easily.

You have to agree Fifa has a better game engine
I can compare only PC versions...and FIFA looks several times worse than Pro Evo. (with all on High in both games)

Some of this might have been mentioned by futbol, but i'm not reading all of that. Celtic Park, should be in it. It is a better stadium than half of the ones in it. Be a pro mode when you can go one player for a whole season with teams coming in for you if you are doing well. Demoted to reserves if you aren't.
