Rooney insists he is more concerned by Manchester United's winning style rather than ending his six-match goal drought in the 4-0 victory over Aston Villa on Saturday.

England striker Rooney ended his half-dozen run of games without a goal with a couple of cool finishes in the second half to seal the points at Old Trafford.

Cristiano Ronaldo had made the breakthrough with an amazing back heel through the legs of Villa defender Martin Laursen and then laid on a cross for Carlos Tevez to make it 2-0 before half-time.

And as United reinforced their lead at the top of the Premier League, Rooney has revealed his delight with the Red Devils' style rather than his personal scoring return.

"A few people have been talking about it but the main thing is we have been winning games," Rooney said when asked about the end of his goalless run.

"It was a well-deserved three points. Some of our passing and movement was brilliant. I love it when we play like that and it was a great goal by Cristiano, unbelievable.

"We have just got to keep focussing with six games left and keep the winning habit."
