Dear Fellow Man U Supporters:
I am a New Yorker, and have been a footballer since I was a kid--captain of my high school team, played in college. I've become a huge Man U supporter over the last few years--watching on TV here in the states, following on line, wearing my kit, learning the songs.
I have the chance of a lifetime. My company is sending me to London. I arrive the morning of April 13, which means if I hop a train from London, I can reach Manchester in time for the Arsenal match.
So, how do I find one ticket? That's all I want. One affordable ticket at Old Trafford. Can one of you tell me where to look or introduce me to the right person who might have one. Please....
Take me home, country roads, to the place I belong, to Old Trafford, to see UNITED. TAKE ME HOME, COUNTRY ROADS.
My favorite United player, past or present, is Roy Keane.
My email is (use pm system - rd) I hope to get an email from one of you soon!

I thought that term didnt bother you? :confused:If 99.9% of united fans hate it then best to make the point now. Rather than he gets flak later on.

OK. No ManU. What is preferred? Just United. Won't that confuse those soddy magpies from Newcastle.
And, doesn't someone have a sick cousin with a ticket for me?

Its not that easy buddy. This is a HUGE game you want a ticket for.
Best bet is to go to the stadium and pick one up outside, though it will cost ya.

Tickets are going for $750 on line. Do you think I can get a ticket that day for cheaper? My experiences are with New York Yankee baseball games and Grateful Dead shows. This is a little "foreign" to me. All advice is appreciated!
It would break my (red and white) heart to get to London, take a train to Manchester, find my way to OT, and then not see the game.

The best way to get a ticket for the Arsenal game is to find a pile of Rocking Horse manure, it'll be right in the middle of it

Dear Friends at Manutedtalk. Thank you for your help and advice. I have now procured a ticket through someone at this site. He's my new best friend. I have also, by trading in airline miles, changed my travel plans so that I arrive in Manchester at 10AM next Sunday morning. Now all I need:
* Advice about places to drink in Manchester the day of the game.
* The Red Devils to thump the Gooners good and give me a REAL day to remember.
My thanks to all for advice given and advice to come. See you all at Old Trafford next Sunday!

If you want to have a drink before the game, pubs (bars) are very easy to find, but get there early if you want more than one, they fill up quickly,
Don't drink the beer inside the ground, it'll empty your wallet faster than a pick pocket and you'll miss half the game queuing
One more tip if your traveling up from London by car or train allow plenty of time, I always try to get into Manchester at least two hours before Ko, and to OT at least an hour before if you want to do the Red Cafe and Shop, more places to empty your wallet

Dear Aragorn:
Good advice. Beers and chips are on me if you find me at the pub before the game. I'll be the one with a big smile on this facing wearing red and white.
Go Red Devils!
