Van Der Sar suffered a broken nose and will be miss the next 2 or 3 matches but O'shea did great to save from Robbie Keane in the last few minutes. Rooney also has a slight problem which will mean he misses next weeks international.

I am a massive massive fan of Van der Sar as I am also a goalkeeper and I have admired him for years and years.
So has it been confirmed that he'll be missing 2-3 matches? What's the seriousness of his injury because there are no websites telling me anything about the extent of his nose injury.
Get better soon Van the man, you have a Premiership title winners medal to claim.

Edwin's got a broken nose - confirmed.
I was shocked at how his head just bounced back when Robbie Keane's knee hit him. Judging by the shape of his nose and the blood streaming forth, it can't be anything else. Usually, it takes between 203 weeks, before a return can be expected, IMHO. But then again, the docs at Old Trafford will know better. ;-)

Give him a few weeks and a mask and he'll be back sooner then expected hopefully ;)

I Think Edwin van der Sar is aiming to return to the Manchester United side for the UEFA Champions League tie with Lille.
