Chelsea midfielder Michael Essien recollects his memories
of the time he spent at Manchester United, and reveals
he can only remember the good times.
Essien, as a 16-year-old, had trials with the Red Devils
but after some problems with regard to his work permit
everything fell through - and now the rest is history.
He was actually signed by Bastia and made his entry into
European Football via this route.
Essien said: "I saw everybody: Beckham, Scholes, Giggs.
Alex Ferguson as well."
How things could have been so, so different if not for the
work permit system ...
