Sir Alex: “I Don’t Need To Spend, But I Will”

Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed that he intends
to strengthen his squad this Summer, in one
area in particular. He doesn't reveal which area
that is, but the most logical guess would say
he's goint to be in the market for a centre forward.

United have struggled this season when Rooney
has been injured, along with long term injury
victim Louis Saha. United don't have an out and
out centre forward at the moment and at times
have had to play Wayne Rooney or Carlos Tevez
as a lone striker, with Cristiano Ronaldo in support.

"I don’t need to spend, but I will,” said Ferguson.
“I think there is an area where we are short and
we can stock up on that a bit. It is not easy getting
the best players here. But we have to because when
you have a lot of quality in your squad you have to
be absolutely correct on who you bring in. I don’t
think I will bring in as many as last season and if we
buy players it will probably be young ones.”
