England manager Fabio Capello has claimed that Wayne
Rooney is set to become an even better player then the
present moment.
He did say however that he would wish that Wayne
would convert more of the opportunities for
Manchester United. Had he done so, he could have had
a hat-trick against Arsenal earlier in the week. Capello
said,
"He is very good at everything. The one thing he can
improve is the number of chances he puts away."
Capello also commented that Wayne could be in a
position to be England's number 1 skipper. Maybe not
now but certainly some time in the future of his career.
After Capello previously said that he would be rotating
his captain for the next two games, to see who he
thinks fits the bill just right, it is widely believed that
Rooney could be one of his next guinea pigs and may be
let out of the cage if Capello is impressed by the
forwards attitude.
"What are his qualities for the role? He is a leader, he
is a good example on the pitch.", said Capello
Rooney had the honour of leading out his club both in
Europe and the League, so he's got experience.
One way or another, Rooney looks like he will be either
Man Utd's captain in the future or else his country,
England.
This can only be a huge boost for his confidence as the
season draws to a close and United may need some
more world-class performances out of him.........watch
