Oliver Brown runs the rule over five possible replacements for Avram Grant at Chelsea. What do you think?

1. Frank Rijkaard
Still a young manager at 45, Rijkaard is believed to be ready to embrace a fresh challenge after five successful years at Barcelona, during which he has won the Champions League.

2. Michael Laudrup
The Denmark international has achieved startling progress as manager of La Liga side Getafe, who this season have reached the quarter-finals of the Uefa Cup and the Copa del Rey final.

3. Guus Hiddink
The Russia manager, whose contract is funded by Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich, is the bookmakers’
favourite to replace Avram Grant.

4. Roberto Mancini
The Inter Milan manager’s future has been threatened by a certain Jose Mourinho. His agent was reportedly in London early this month to sound out interest.

5. Gianfranco Zola
The former Chelsea striker is still popular at Stamford Bridge but the Italy Under-21 assistant maintains he does not have enough coaching experience. Oliver Brown

I reckon Hiddink or even Rijkaard. Defintely not Laudrup- he is a big favourite for the Barcelona job.

Maybe Roy Hodgson should start playing golf with Abramovich. :)

Mourinho is out of the picture for Barcelona. He'll probably go to Real or one of the Milans.

Rijkaard would be a very good choice for chelsea. he would bring attacking style to stamford bridge, but he would need quite a few new players. current bunch of chelsea players have limited flair to play attractive football

I think Zola will return to the club one day but probably as assistant manager initially.

Rijkaard or Hiddink are the 2 most likely candidates from that list and I reckon it'll be Rijkaard.

i would say rijkaard. he has the attacking football policy ambramovich craves for. henk ten cate would be reunited with rijkaard too. ten cate was assistant manager at barca before he left for ajax in the summer for the head coach position.

I think Rijkaard he will be sacked by Barca and then Mourinho should take the job there, then they will class in the CL next season :p
