John Terry has questioned whether Manchester United can handle the pressure of being title favourites.

Reigning champions Chelsea are in an unfamiliar position under Jose Mourinho in that The Blues are playing catch-up.

Chelsea kept up their pursuit of United with a 3-0 victory over Middlesbrough on Saturday and are determined to reel in their title rivals.

And with The Red Devils having not been champions since 2003, Blues captain Terry has stoked the fires for the run-in.

"Manchester United have been different class this year and fair play to them for that," said Terry.

"They're playing very well and their key players are all at the top of their form.

"But they haven't been under pressure like this for a few years and it's written in the rules that people are going to drop points sooner or later.

"Last season we dropped a few points and they closed the gap a bit towards the end and we're hoping for the same thing this time.

"This is where we really kick in. We're turning the corner into the home straight and it's just the two of us now battling it out.

"They keep winning, but we're putting the pressure on them and sooner or later they're going to drop points.

"We need to worry about ourselves. There's no point worrying what United are doing and then dropping points ourselves.

"They've got some tough fixtures coming up, so we need to keep winning our games and get as many points on the board as possible."

John Terry playing his mind games, I think they fear anyone but themselves to win the Premiership. We will be champions, no queston about that, we just have to keep up the consistency that has got us into this postion all season.
We've been top of the league for the most part of the season and Chelsea think they're so invincible and that cannot stand that.

"But they haven't been under pressure like this for a few years" - Yes we have, do you remember when Newcastle were 15 points ahead of us and still managed to win the Premiership. And Keegan going "I'd love it if we beat them - love it!".

And regardless of how long it's been, we have players who have won more Premiership winning medals than all the Chelsea players put together, to name a few:- Gary Neville, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Rio ferdinand, Mikael Silvestre, Darren Fletcher, John O'Shea, Wes Brown.

It's actually vice versa, Chelsea are more under pressure than we are, we are enjoying our games and playing wonderful football, whilst Chelsea were expected to retain the title by buying big names like Ballack and Shevchenko. And this will be a failed season for them, regardless whether they win the league cup or FA cup and I can't see them winning the Champions League.

Last 11 games of the season:-

24th Feb Fulham (A) - Winable (Won 5-1 last time)
3rd Mar Liverpool (A) - Tough but winable (won last time)
17th Mar Bolton (A) - Winable
31st Mar Blackburn (H) - Winable
7th Apr Pompy (A) - Winable
10th Apr Sheff Utd (H) - Winable - more than capable of
15th Apr Chelsea (A) - Tough but if we can maintain lead then win or lose, we are still top of table
21th Apr Boro (H) - Winable
28th Apr Everton (A) - Winable
5th May Man City (A) - Winable
13th May West Ham (H) - Winable - MAN UTD 2006/2007 CHAMPIONS!!!!!

Sounds like Terry is assuming that chelsea will win all their remaining games without dropping any points..
