With there only 3 league games and key european games coming up is it time for fergie to decide on a strongest eleven . Odviously we play a different system in europe then we do in the league so there is room for a change there but it has to be strongest till the end from now on for me .

it may not be the strongest eleven every time we play, but rooney and ronaldo will be on the pitch every time from now on.

Yeah we need to have the strongest starting always but I think Fergie might go for experience in Europe like Giggs over Nani...

yeaa but giggs yesterday absolutely dreadful, fair play to sir alex getting him off when he did awful performance, surely parks attributes will suit barca away with him having the legs to track back with messi or eto'o put it this way if we play giggs i think we will lose the game
i also believe we need anderson and hargreaves in this team and carrick has become un-droppable

The problem is we DON'T HAVE a strongest eleven.
VDS
Brown Rio Vidic Evra
Ronaldo ??? ??? ???
Rooney ???
They are the only real guarenteed positions. All the others are anyone's guess.

Tevez should be a first team regular

i really think tevez should be kept in the bench and let out to rip open the oppsition in the second half....he always does well in the second half......i dunno how many of you will like thta idea but that i my opinion... we need that kind of player to come out in the second half when the opposition is tired.....kinda like arse sub in walcott in the second half always.......
and i think giggs should get only 5 minutes in a game...and nani/oark should get the rest....
and also we have to play scholes less.....i will get bad response for this too but he hasnot been in best form, after his injury, except for a few games....want hargo to get more games.....
that is pretty much it

If we want to put a strong team in the pitch then we need Ronaldo, Rooney, Park, Vidic, Ferdinand, Tevez, Nani and Scholes
Anderson, Hargreaves, Carrick should also be in the pitch but i want them as subs

rather play anderson than scholes at the mo, and never the two together.

Rooney
Nani Anderson Carrick Ronaldo
Hargreaves
Evra Ferdinand Vidic Brown
van der Sar
It's important to play Hargreaves, because Anderson and Carrick are so good at helping out the defence that Hargo can move to the right at given times during the match, which frees up Ronaldo to move upfront.
Rooney Ronaldo
Nani Anderson Carrick Hargreaves
Evra Ferdinand Vidic Brown
van der Sar

Tevez should be a first team regular
I think that too.
However, we all know that hasn't been the case throughout this season - especially more so when Louis Saha has been injured.
Which leaves us, if we play both Rooney and Tevez, with no real striker on the bench, to come on to add that spark up front (like Tevez has done this season).
Which brings us back to the fact that we need another option in the striking department.

i would really go with 4-5-1. this season, we seemed more comfortable with 4-5-1 most of the time. anderson, carrick and hargo seems a perfect trio in the middle of the park, and since we are short on options in the striking department, why not put tevez on the bench, and play rooney as a lone striker. we can bring tevez on, like what stephen suggested, to bring on as an extra spark if things arent going well for us.

As many above have mentioned we dont really know who the best 11 are.
We have games of varying difficulty coming up and others which will require
different tactics or personnel. Injuries could also play their part.
Away to Barca we will play 5 across the middle as we might against Chelsea.
At home to barca, the 'best 11' will depend on what the AGG score is from the
first leg.
If we beat Chelsea then we can play a reserve team against West Ham etc etc...
Playing our 'best 11' might not always happen. There are too many factors to
consider right now. Even Fergie still wouldnt know who will be playing in all those
games.

Good point noted there Jazzo.
Plenty of managers will tell you that it is no longer possible to pin up the same team sheet on the dressing-room door week after week. The stresses and strains imposed by the greater physical intensity of the modern game, combined with the number of fixtures faced by the most successful clubs, make the tactical and man-management aspects of player-rotation an intrinsic part of the repertoire of managerial skills.
Even now, when managers need top-quality cover for every position, there is nothing better than a goalkeeper and a back four who play their way through an entire season - or even for what seemed like season after season, as Peter Schmeichel, Paul Parker, Steve Bruce, Gary Pallister and Denis Irwin used to do for United - behind a midfield and an attack that are enjoying the benefits of a similar consistency.
Different players are used to contain/exploit opposition strength/weakness. (e.g Hargreaves on the right against Barca to pressure & shackle Krkic or Henry.)Playing at home or away may result in a different formations being used and thus changes to the team week in week out. Playing in Europe requires an entirely different style of football. So changes will be required to for the team to play a more European style.
Football changes, and approaches to management change with it. But some truths remain eternal, and this is one of them: the best teams do, indeed, write themselves. ;)

it all goes well for chelsea.
they are playing away in champs league but only at Anfield. We are away at Barcelona
they play on the tues and we play on the wed so extra day to recover
early 12.30 ko as well on Sat morning
would be delighted with draw but dont think we can play for that.

It's probably quicker to get from Manchester to Spain; than from London-Liverpool.

I believed that SAF will not stick to this... As each team has it difference tactics, so we should look at it differently... This will also make our Opponent think on how to crack us and give us a good game... Sticking to the same players will only tired them out as this is the last pace for the season... The likes of Barcelona and Chelsea back to back is going to be tough... SAF should be experience enough to be up to the task...
