I'll go with the Czech to win first game aswell.

Some of my other predicions:-

Top Goalscorer: Torres
Most suprising team: Poland
A team who can win but will fail: Italy
Most entertaining team: Portugal
Winner: Spain

The Swiss are at home so I reckon they'll get at least a draw but I'm more interested in the 2nd game of the day between Portugal and Turkey.

I put a £10 bet on Portugal to win the tournament at 15/2 today so I'll be cheering them (and Ronaldo & Nani) on.

Portugal reached the semi's at Euro 2000, the final at Euro 2004 and the semi's of the World Cup in 2006. This year they have the best player in the World in their side so I fancy them to go all the way this time.

None of the Czech. Rep. players is in good form; I can't see them winning this first match. Don't bet on them! Switzerland is going to be tough opponent.

It looks a bit bleak for Italy right now but would you believe the TAB, Australian, has Italy at odds of $10.00 to win the Euro's? $10. ITALY. It doesn't matter if they lose convincingly you just don't put Italy, or any Italian team, at $10.

It's a recipe for losing money big time if your a bookie or gambling agency. I'm very tempeted to lay on a big bet. Anybody else with me?

Ballack doubtful for final

Germany captain Michael Ballack is a doubt for Sunday's Euro 2008 final against Spain because of a calf muscle injury.

The Chelsea midfielder, who has been in impressive form for much of the tournament, has been unable to train since Friday because of the problem.

Ballack's absence would be a major setback for coach Joachim Low as he looks to guide his side to the Henri Delauney trophy in Vienna.

David Villa i think is out for the final as well.. big loss for spain but fabregas will come in and he has been doing great.. ballack started slow in euro but now is playing great and if he is out.. then germans midfield wont be as dominant especially against the midfield of Spain
