One Yr Season Ticket Holders / Away Applications

So I am eagerly awaiting to apply for some away games with my one yr season ticket however I noticed this:

Liverpool v Manchester United, Saturday 13 September, kick off 12:45pm

We will receive an allocation of approximately 3000 tickets priced £39 adults, £28 over 65's and £19.50p under 16's.

Applications will be accepted from Executive Members by post or by calling 0161 868 8000 option 1 and speaking to an advisor from 8am on Monday 18 August through to 8pm on Friday 22 August.

Season Ticket holders who have attended AS Roma - group stage, FC Dynamo Kyiv, Sporting Clube de Portugal, Tottenham Hotspur, Olympique Lyonnais, Portsmouth and AS Roma in the quarter final - are entitled to make an application for this game online or by calling 0161 868 8000 option 1 and option 1 again from 8am on Monday 25 August through to 8am on Wednesday 27 August. Ballot results will be available from Thursday 28 August.

I have made the interesting point BOLD so does this mean I cannot apply? As I did not go to the above games :confused:

You can't apply for away games until about after the 3rd round of the Carling Cup.

Happens every season.

And only fair.

So I need to be looking at the away's after Christmas?

Is there no way round this, can you not even apply on the off chance? how can I ensure I have a better chance in the future?

Nah, about the end of Spetember. Going on past circumstances, they usually wait til the third round of the carling cup which is around mid september, then they allow new season ticket holders to apply.

They won't accept your application if you apply.

Possibly. You can't get them via the club without a membership, but there are usually spares about.
