Rumours are that Spurs set to lodge £5m Brown bid, I wouldnt want him to go as I think he is good cover

Like Smudger, he's stated his intentions clearly - he wants to stay and fight for a place. I think that's a good idea but £5m is quite a sum of money for someone of his class.

We can probably up the ante by another £2m possibly, which should be the amount we're looking for.

He's not half bad however and IMHO ought to stay.

Especially if its Spurs making the bid, considering the amount they made us pay for Carrick, we should make them pay more for Brown
