If Zenit win the UEFA Cup, not only Zenit but also football will be the winners. They play fantastic stuff, where as Rangers are at completely the opposite of the spectrum.

Also, for many reasons, I have a severe hatred of Rangers Football Club!

probably because you are a celtic supporter.

lets get one thign straight manchester, we dont sing songs about wanting to blow you up. we wouldnt grudge you all coming up to glasgow, there will only be fights if people go looking for them, how do we know youre local gangs wont be wanting fights? theres chunts like this in every city.

'rangers dont play football' footballs a tactical game and weve played in superbly, we cant compete with the likes of man utd, chelsea or even zenith in the transfer market. One thing for sure if i was offered fast free flowing football and knocked out in the semis or defensive football and a sneakey goal and be in the final, then i know which one i would choose.

these teams moaning about us being defensive ie la viola, in my opinion theyre just bad loosers, if you watched the game we had the best shot on target, our keeper wasnt properly tested once.

Good on Rangers for doing so well, great achieivement still being in the running for everything. Sad that not everyone can get behind them, puts scottish footbsll on the map.

If Celtic remeber Seville, they were't the most attravtive either and need I mention Boavista?

Come on, lets get behind them. I wish them the best of luck and will be watching keenly from Moscow. ( going over early for a holiday).

Zenit fans snap up Uefa tickets

Rangers fans hopeful of obtaining tickets for the Uefa Cup final have been told their Russian opponents will be taking up their full allocation.

The Glasgow club will face Zenit St Petersburg on 14 May in Manchester and fans have been clamouring for tickets since Walter Smith's side eliminated Fiorentina in Italy last Thursday.

It was presumed Zenit would return part of their 13,000 ticket allocation.

However, the Russian club has said they will be taking up the full allocation.
Rangers are expected to be given the same allocation as the St Petersburg side, with around 22,000 tickets being distributed among neutral fans and corporate sponsors.

Tickets for the final are showing up on the auction website eBay, with bid values ranging from £600 to £5,000.

However, many Rangers fans will be disappointed to learn that no additional tickets will be available to Glaswegians making the trip down the M6 and a large contingent of Russians will be present inside the City of Manchester Stadium on Wednesday 14 May.

"We will sell all our tickets, there is no doubt about that," said a Zenit spokesman.

"We had 3,000 in Munich for the first leg of our semi-final against Bayern and many more want to go to Manchester.

"We have had our first allocation of 7,000 tickets from Uefa and they are gone.

"We are waiting for the second part of 4,000 and I have no doubt that they will be sold too, as will the rest we get
.

There has been no tradition of Russian football fans travelling outside their country to follow their clubs in European competition, until recently.

A relaxation in rules surrounding travel in and out of Russia means many Zenit fans will be able to obtain the travel permits required to make the trip to Manchester.

I thought Zenit would return a lot as well, what with travel visa's and what not but it seems relaxing the rules has meant a lot more supporters can travel.

Good that you dad has got his, hope he enjoys the game.

Pity that Zenit will be the winners. lol.

St Petersburg was known as Leningrad under Communism and was twinned with Manchester for many years so lots of Mancunians will be supporting Zenit St Petersburg and hope that they lift the Uefa cup as they,ve played foootball worthy of a cup winnning team.

We don't really want to know about
'Blowing people up, fighting and
gangs here.

There are plenty of sites with all that
nonsense on them.

Just a friendly warning ... before
someone bites the bait and begins
a fight
