I only really started following Spanish football when Real started buying English players - first McManaman, then Beckham and Owen.

So purely on that basis I'll say Real Madrid.

El Classico is on tonight by the way. Should be a great game in the Bernebau.
There were rumours that Deco and Eto'o got booked on purpose so they could
miss the game and all the abuse that will surely go their way.
If its true its cowardly but we'll never know.

REAL MADRID! All the way. I can't stand Barcelona, look at how they treat star players Ronaldinho is one of the greatest entertainers I've ever seen and only Barca fans would jeer him at the airport. Schuster, Henry, Dinho, Figo, Saviola, Ronaldo the list goes on of great player Barcelona fans somehow contrive to hate despite all they've each done for Barca over the years. Plus Madrid have player's like Raul, Casillas & Ramos. All Spanish and loyal. Guti too & Van Goal I'll always have a sot spot for him.

Also look at Real's history compared to Barca. Barcelona & Man United, I'm ashamed to say, are Europe's greatest underachievers. I'll always be a mad keen Zidane fan so that's another plus to Madrid as well as the fact that they had PUSKAS & DI STEFANO. Two of the great entertainer's. Puskas 180 Madrid Appearances & 156 Goals from center midfield. He was out of shape, couldn't head the ball, in fact all he had was his left foot. Blimey, what a left foot though. Smashing Frankfurt 7 - 3. Di Stefano grabbed a European Cup Final hat trick and he still wasn't top scorer on the night because Puskas got 4.

Oh yeah. Plus Ronaldo had one of his more successful spells at Real scoring 83 goals in 127 games. Including that hat trick against us in the CL. Yeah I'm a Real Madrid man between them and Barca. Easy.
