This is great, a verry good signing!!! Under Keane Anton might just become a better player, he has it in him and keane might bring it out!
I would be very excited to be a Sunderland fan, as Jazz said last year all through the season there was worry about going back down.
But now it looks good and should be trying to push on.
If the keep inproving every year like this they can dream a bit!
Nial Quinn has also dofine job for them....... Fair play.

yeah, looking at Anton's signing again, its a pretty good one for Roy, he wants to build something and has signed one of the better young centre halves around.. its all fitting nicely into place, couple of useless players he still needs to clear out but other than that they look v strong, and will take a few points off the big teams at home this year!! i fancy them for an 8th place finish... they will beat the likes of City, Pompey already Spurs at home... strength to strength!

Still cant believe he signed Healy, wonder did he apologise to Roy for his racist remark to the Celtic fans a few weeks back? he's not good enough, he'll be back out the door along with Prica and Connelly ASAP!

8th place? That would be amazing though it may take a few more seasons to
get that high. BUt I guess if Reading can do it why not Sunderland?
Id be happy for them if they got 10th-12th, which is where I think they will finish.
Either way, its great times for the club.

one more signing before the window closes, apparently keano is in talks with a LB.

he has done a great job over the summer and bought quite wisely, once everybody settles in and the team gels a bit more they will be a very difficult team to beat.

i think a top ten finish is a real possibility.

I heard Michael Ball being mentioned, who is a tough tackling no nonsense
player. Someone a bit a la Keane, except not nearly as good. Not a bad player
but not world class either. Anyway, watch this space.

And yeah you are right, he has done fantastic in the transfer window, better
than any other manager imo.

He said he has one more big name coming and he is sure he has it,
thats after the Anton capture. be interesting to see who that is?
Maybe another quiilty midfielder is needed!
If he gets ball his backline would be solid, midfield is ok i suppose and his attack has alot of options, hope he does well!
After the money he spent over 2years, 10 finish will be expected by the board and Keane i think, anything else would be a let down

i heard keano was after atletico madrid full back PERNIA,
michael ball would be decent although i he should be looking at someone a bit younger.

we need a left back, then i think we are set for a very good season.

haway-away-awayyyy
performance in some parts was sub-standard, we must keep playing the way we did against spurs and liverpool
