the fact he scored on his debut and I just have a feeling he'll do well.....

Keane's got a very tactically astute team around him which will finish between 9th
and 12th IMO

West Ham manager Alan Curbishley has confirmed Sunderland's bid for Anton Ferdinand has been accepted by the club's board.

Ferdinand, who was absent from West Ham's 3-0 defeat to Manchester City on Sunday, is currently on the sidelines recovering from a hamstring injury.

Black Cats boss Roy Keane stated he was close to adding two new players to his squad in the next week, one of them is believed to be West Ham stopper Ferdinand.

Curbishley has now stated that with Ferdinand reluctant to renegotiate terms on a new deal the board have decided it is in the club's best interests if the 23-year-old departs.
Bid accepted

"The board have accepted the bid," Curbishley told the BBC on the deal, which is believed to be in the £8million region.

"Anton has not renegotiated his contract, and the decision was taken out of my hands.

"I don't know where Anton is in terms of signing for Sunderland but once the club accept the bid, it moves on."

yeah he turned out to be crap and we all laughed
Now I want him to do well (which is a strange feeling) and he may just do well.
He has the experience from last time and if he can get on the end of crosses
with his pace, he will be a good addition to the squad.

Back to Anton, Im sure he has heard ALL he stories regarding Roy Keane off Rio.
Hopefully Rio is nudging him to go play for Roy. I think he would be an
excellent signing. He has the Ferdinand blood which is good enough for
a lot of teams. They needed a defender anyway. They cant rely on McShane
and Higginbottam. Go Sunderland!

Dont think Anton is quite what they need tho.. they need some1 who's a seasoned premiership defender, Hyypia would be ideal! Anton has promise but they'll still be depending on a pretty inexperienced back four (at this level), we'll still see some costly mistakes at the back but i still expect a pretty solid season from Roy's team! possibly doing well in a cup competition also!!

Hyypia is passed it imo and will only be of use for a season more max maybe 2.
Anton has been around for years, he has plenty of experience, maybe 150 games
in the Prem which is a lot. He is obviously not as good as Rio but he has many
years left in the game and he is a very good defender who can play a bit.
Sunderland need something at the back BIG TIME, so this is ideal for them.
They will definitely NOT be relegated this season, which is great for the club.
They look like they will maintain their Prem status for years to come.
