Another article like the one RFR posted, but from a different source with more and different comments.

Keane Has `Lost The Plot`

Roy Keane has "lost the plot" and is making "some really silly decisions" according to the man who ghost-wrote his autobiography.

Eamonn Dunphy - formerly a very close friend of the Sunderland manager - has laid into Keane with both barrels on Radio Five Live.

Keane's side have lost six of their last seven games and are in the relegation zone despite him spending around £40m this summer.

He has repeatedly suggested that he could walk away from the club and has recently looked like a man who has lost his way.

"He is rambling about all sorts of things and it's really ridiculous," said Dunphy. "He is in serious danger of getting relegated but I think that Roy Keane is beginning to believe the Roy Keane mythology.

"He is pontificating on everything. He's lost the plot. I have the highest regard for him, he's a remarkable, intelligent, family man, but he's lost the plot big time.

"He hasn't had a settled side and I think he is in a fog at the moment. Everyone gets there at some point in your life, when things get too much for you. You don't know where the levers for control are and he's making some really silly decisions. He paid all that money for Anton Ferdinand and dropped him. Then there is Diouf on the bench and out of favour.

"It has been apparent to me for the last 18 months that Roy Keane isn't going to be a serious manager. Like a lot of great players he doesn't appear cut out for management. It's becoming increasingly apparent. I just don't think he has the qualities."

I have to agree with todays opinion of dunphy keane needs to leave sunderland before he really damages his career within managment . After all he cant live off his name he needs to get out be proud of what he has done by getting them in the prem and wait for another decent club . Dont rush into silly signings like he has here at sunderland and calm down on the stress levels he is looking older lately thats stress keano is a hardman so losing doesnt go well with him .

Thats the one thing I've always said about Keane, especially when talking about him potentially taking over as manager. His record in the transfer market is pretty dreadful.

I think the fact that he's just been given as much money to spend has taken its toll. Hes just seemed to throw money at clubs to sign a player, and he hasn't had to try to think as carefully or make good, efficient signings like he would have to do if he started lower down the leagues, or at a club with less money.

Hes made some good signings no doubt, like Kenwyne Jones, Craig Gordon, Richardson, Reid, Malbranque and Cisse. But the bad signings outnumber the good signings but a long way.

at the moment, im staying behind him.
hes only new to management, and its all part of the learning curve. I am confident we can survive this season. About the comment of him throwing money away, its true, but i like what hes done with cisse(not spending millions on him) and just loaning him to see how well he'd fit in
