Arsenal

Normally Im a lot more worried about the threat they pose. To be fair to them
they only finished 4 points behind us and were unlucky not to get to the CL
semi's.

But wtf is going on at the Emirates?
They have lost Flamini, Hleb, Lehmann and might lose Adebayor.
They have signed Nasri, who admitedly is an excellent prospect. He has been
running the show in Marseille for some time and the 'new Zidane' tag doesnt
seem to phase him.

But they seem to be losing the plot somewhat and need to start buying some
players before its too late. We only need a striker where as they need a few more
players to at least replace the ones that have gone.

Even Hleb is worried ;-):- http://www.sportinglife.com/football...l&PREV_SEASON=
They surprised us all last season with their great football and were unlucky
in some respects with injuries and some suspect decisions.

But what do you expect from them this season? 2nd? 3rd? 4th? 5th?
Thoughts?

Well if they can steer away from injuries they should mount a serious challenge like last season and I myself last season counted them out (oh boy was I wrong lol). IMO this could be their strongest line up:

Almunia

Sagna------Toure------Gallas------Clichy

Nasri---Fabregas---Rosicky

Vela/Walcott-----------------------RVP/Eduardo

Adebayor

Basically the Chelsea formation and similar to our 4-5-1 but i doubt Wenger will do it lol It looks strong and quality everywhere but what they lacked last season was squad depth and it looks the same this season only because some players left. Some noticeable additions are Vela (he looked amazing in La Liga), Nasri (amazing talent), and Ramsey (we should of got him!). All the new additons lack one thing - experience but other than that they are gems for now. They should do well as the season progresses. They still lack cover for defence if anyone gets injured because to me Sendaros is not top 4 material really..

They are ok in the goalkeeping department, defence is a worry in depth, midfield look okay but just lack a holding/defensive midfielder but Wenger said he is in the market for one and their strike force look good and solid and has more depth than ours atm. They should achieve the same as last season if not one better at 2nd place. They should do well in the domestic cups untill they meet us of course and Champions League I think is a little to far for them this season thanks to the lack of inexprenice.

i think we should worry about our team...not about the gunners....firstly we should make sure our team is oki......and no problems backfires uswe won the premiership and the champions league...i don't care how lucky we were...we didn't made it all by luck..we have a team...and...the only thing that is ruining our team...is..that "superstar"ronaldo...and all his soapopera about his transfer to Real....if we keep the harmony and concentration we had last year...i don't care what club buys;succes will be garanteed....4 EVER UNITED we stand

Arsnene Wenger is a smart manager and he will notice the loss of midfielders in the squad. They will still be a challenge but i think Scolari and his team will be our biggest competition this season.

I read a quote from Fergie recently where he said that he believed that Arsenal
had a wonderful season and would be big threats this coming year, in a quote
where he also stated that he believed Chelsea wouldn't be as big a threat and
Liverpool and Arsenal would be challenging for honours with the Champions.

As for Arsenal, the problem is they've not won a trophy of significance in 4 years
and that's not pleasing to fans or players. I must say, I've got respect for Wenger
as he's managing his side through a bad time just like Fergie did with his first 7
years. Still can't stand his antics though! ...

It will be interesting to see who they buy and if there are any more departures. I
thought Adebayore was a dead cert to leave this summer. They need a defensive
leader and a strong midfielder. The loss of Viera was the worst thing for them in
the last few years...

...ahh well! Everything's rosy over at Old Trafford....well most things!

well...

1. I hope they will beat Liverpool and Chalski in this season.I think they have many good young players and can will replace Flamini, Hleb, Lehman! I hope they will be 2nd team!

2. Hleb is a good man

3. I really hope that Walcott will play for the first team...
