How do the universities in Jordan know if you're rich or not? And why would they care tbh? They just need you to pay your fees.
It's not okay to discriminate people for any reason, however I do support black upliftment after apartheid to get previously disadvantaged people up to the same level as white people, so they such inequality is not required in the long term.
HOWEVER, you need to live in SA to understand why massive numbers of white people are violently racist. Bearing in mind the hell white kids have to go through to get into tough courses, the fact the seldom is there a single black kid by the third or fourth year and just a single row of white, asian and Indian kids in the front of a large lecture theatre and loads of smart white kids who couldn't study what they wanted, all creates animosity amongst whites.
The black government is corrupt to the core and the person who will almost certainly be the next president has serious corruption charges pending, which could now be thrown out because it is not possible to run for president with charges pending or a criminal record, and the next elections are in April. Not to mention the government is so useless they haven't kept up with the power needs of the population and now they are routinely cutting power to various neighbourhoods throughout the week. This is the same government that spend R1billion on an arms deal for a country that isn't at war and can't make use of the military supplies or man the submarines etc. The equipment was all broken anyway...
I don't consider myself racist but I can't stand this place. Counting the days 'til I leave. |
Hey ManUtd19,
haven't seen you here for awhile.
Welcome back and congrats on wanting to start a new life.
I have some people in my life, who have lived or grown up in South Africa and I understand your situation. I think it's a crying shame and that continent as a whole is one heart-breaking story after the other.
I'm glad you;re moving to make a better life for yourself. I'm personally targetting Toronto or Vancouver myself. I'm half German and could move back to Germany anytime I want, but my fiancee doesn't speak German and I've stopped feeling "German" for a while now.
Canada's a good place with good people and I think you'll like it.
Good luck, mate.
