Where does Marta Vieira da Silva rank in the world?

    This chick's the Schumacher/Tiger Woods/Federer of Women's football and I think she's
won the FIFA Player of the Year 5 times in a row now or something like that.

Where do you lot think she'd rank in the world considering men as well?

Just for a tiny indication, some German chap who was 205th in the world at tennis beat
the Williams sisters one after the other 6-1 6-2 a few years back.

Well I have never seen her play but every year that I watch the world player of the year ceremony she wins and it is the 4th in a row I think.

A woman once played for Parma mens team a few years back but she obviously didn't cut it because I didn't hear any other news about her.

There is no reason why she can't join a mens team if that girl joined Parma surely?

I think it was Perugia, she left after two days and it was said to be a publicity stunt anyway.

The guy who owns Perugia is hardly normal, always on TV ranting about something,
I remember once he thought a player wasn't fit to wear #13 on his back so they put 1+3.

But yeah, I wouldn't mind it if she joined United, she's probably better than Berbatov.

She's welcome to play for my club, provided she showers with us.

it's all about the physicality really. skillwise she is probably not too bad, evidently light years above any other female players, but in the men's game you can imagine that despite any potentially silky footwork, she would get thrown off the ball very easily. in that sense, it's hard to find a league where she would excel. the top leagues will be better than her, simple as. the lower leagues are more strength orientated, more sly kicks and hard tackles and i doubt she could cope in either, despite obviously being an undeniably good female player
