He's like Ronaldo was last year, he clearly wants out yet denies those claims. He has Barca on his mind and it's bringing him down. I wouldn't consider him a flop, he had a productive 1st season and provided an assist for Petrov today.

he clearly cant be arsed and has the look of a man who desperately wants out.
i think he has flopped , he had an average first season , started off well but faded in the second half of the season , this season when he has played he has been a shadow of the player we saw at madrid.

He was amazing at the star of the his first season until he started to get played on the wing were he fails to make the same impact
He is a better player than berbatov
a better signing and scored more goals despite being a supportive attacker and playing with a worse team
Robinho is miles ahead of Berbatov and your ******* biased and stupid if you can't see that

Speaking of which, answer the question, do you think Robinho's been a flop? Seeing as you constantly mention berba's flopped due to not being worth 30 million, has robinho been worth 32.75?

Well... Robinho score something like 15 goal with around the same number of assists and he solely destroyed Arsenal while helping City to get a top 10 finish
HOW THE HELL THIS IS A FLOP HA?
YES BUT 9 league GOALS WITH THE WORLD EUROPE AND ENGLAND CHAMPIONS IS NOT A FLOP HA ?
Ohh and this season he only played 3 times and was injured for most of the season and erm... and he was played as a typical winger this season so we can't blame him why he can't score
15 goals are pretty good for a supportive attacker playing with a fairly decent team in a league that its hard to score in
and ahh other thing Robinho of City from August 08 to February 09 > Robinho of madrid
and yes Canto mentioned Berba
Robinho's shit plays better than Berbatov
Robinho is better in everything even dribbling and his touch is around the same
so anyone who mentions Berba just FOAD you clueless fanboys Robinho is class Berba is not

No doubt he is world class its just he has lost his way at city and for a player of his talent you would expect better.

What expectations
he played better than his Madrid days and scored more
There is no chance he can be called a flop
a one season wonder would be more appropriate if he failed to impress this season where he is yet to have more than 200 minutes in

He shouldn't be considered a flop in the slightest.
15 goals from the wing is good whether you cost 3 million or 30 - and the team he played in wasn't even particularly outstanding either so it's more impressive.

I wonder if he (and any other Brazilian player who's name starts with the letter R) gets upset when they pronounce his name wrong on tv.

robinho is top class. First season in england proved that. Second season is kinda stalled by stop starts and ankle problems and then the speculation of him being linked with barcelona. He would be crazy to not want to join them at the moment.
I dont know why there is berbatov mentions in this but berbatov is nowhere near the class of robinho in my opinion.
pz!

Also folks, when a transfer fee is paid, your paying for the player to keep at the level that he played at when he was purchased. I.E. Robinho's level at Madrid, or Berb's level at Spurs. Berbatov hasn't been as good, so, so far he's probably a flop. Has Robinho been as good as he was at Madrid? Probably. You can't expect a player to perform better just because you paid more money for him. If you buy Titus Bramble for 30 million Sterling, he's still gonna be Titus Bramble.

No, I think he's a good player. He's not really a winger, more of a wide forward. He would be unstoppable at Barca.
They need someone to fill the left forward role. Henry will never truly be happy or at his best there.

I don't think he's a flop...
He started off his career at City brilliantly, even scoring on debut didn't he? The season slowed down for him afterwards and wasn't on as blistering form as he started with... this season however, he grew largely out of favour with Hughes, who preferred Bellamy -- understandably, because Bellamy's performances have been brilliant. I don't think he suits Manchester City anymore, because unlike last season, the whole team's game does not revolve around him, as he is no longer the "most important star" of the team as he was when he first came in.
I think he would suit Barcelona's system very well, and considering the season that Henry is having, I don't think that he'll find it too difficult to replace him in the starting lineup. However, as Laporta has mentioned, they have no intention of pursuing Robinho anymore.
City paid over £30m for him, because during his last days at Real, he was picking up the form that he was revered for when Madrid first bought him, making and scoring goals almost for fun. So far has he lived up to the price tag? Not really.
But no, not a flop in my opinion.

He was shocking yesterday but he is clearly unfit and needs some time to get back in the swing of things.
Class player but I'd judge him at the end of the season. He was good last season and at times unplayable.
The main issue is where his head is at. Does he even want to be there? Time will tell.
(and can we lay off the Berbatov comparisons as it infests every thread?)

^^Yeah, they highlighhted about 10 different stages in the game were he completely fked up. I agree with Shearer when he said that Robinho wasn't a Hughes signing and that he's more of a problem for City at the moment because Bellamy and Santa Cruz are better suited to their play.
Wouldn't be surprised if Mancini offloaded him sometime to show his authority.
Off topic, but fair play to Shearer on his comments about Sparky being sacked. He was 100% right

He plays left wing. He's done alright in fairness. But not worth the money paid.
I'd have him at United. Can't be much worse than Tosic, Berbatov, Park or Nani.
