    Ronaldo Watch

    Whether you want him to succeed or fail miserably, I'm sure we will be monitoring Ronaldo's progress in La Liga with great interest. So this shall be the Ronaldo watch thread to see how our old boy is getting on.

    Will he be the best player in La Liga?
    Will he even be the best player at Madrid?
    Will he fail and come 'home' to Manchester?
    Will he succeed and win it all at Madrid?
    Will he get kicked around even worse than he did in England?

    Real are involved in the first game of La Liga's season next Saturday, 29 August 2009.
    Real Madrid v Deportivo La Coruna, 19:00

    I don't really care whether he does well or badly now. He's just like a random player for me.

    Although now I don't have to defend him and I can dislike him for being a twat.

    HANDYMAN here's your answers for the Beckham thread.

    Will he be the best player in MLS? He isn't. Top 5 maybe.
    Will he even be the best player at galaxy? He isn't.
    Will he fail and come 'home' to Manchester? Obviously not, or he already would have, since he's failed colossally
    Will he succeed and win it all at galaxy? Of course not
    Will he get kicked around even worse than he did in England? No, the MLS doesn't have a lot of stuff like that.

    Yes i think so,he will be given more space and won't have to contend with two players on him every time he gets the ball,better weather conditions,less hckers etc etc!He will have strong competition from the likes of Kak,Xavi,Inestia and Messi to contend with not even mentioning Villa,but i think on his day he is better then any of those mentioned and will shine in La liga

    I hope so,although i don't see it happening TBH and i don't think Fergie would go back(if he is still in charge!)But even say if in 6 years time his contract doesn't get renewed or whatever he will only be 29/30 and could still do a job out on the wing or even up front if he loses his pace!Only way this will happen though is if he suffers a major injury or as you say fails

    I dunno probably not as they are more cultured in Spain and even the defenders aree more about playing football then been a hard man(in most cases)

    Skysports have signed a new 3 year deal with la liga and have Real Madrid V Deportivo at 19:00 on Saturday SS2, I'll obviously be smashed by then but might get the pub to put it on after.

    No I think Messi, Iniesta and Kaka will outshine him tbh. Players get hacked more in La Liga and he didnt like it in the Prem

    Higuain improved a lot this year, but his pre-season was awful... also, benzema and higuain can play together, the problem is that Raul keeps playing over these players

    Higuain was brilliant last season.


    btw a mate of mine who supports Real Madrid says that Realmadrid will not be successful like they used too be, while Raul is playing
    because Raul have lost most of his skills but yet he get picked over the other strikers

    do you feel the same ?
