2002 was my homeland's greatest shot we'll probably ever have. My God that was painful. At least we never have to worry about qualifying since no one in CONCACAAF can even give us a game anymore. Maybe we can even get out of the group stage since referees like to give Ghana terrible penalties, granted we probably still wouldn't have won that game, but still anything can happen with 1-1 going into the half.

We on the other hand have to try pull off a shock just to get there.
I am confident we can make to to 2010 under Trap tho.

Hell yeah it is. The world cup is my favorite part of football. I hope Ireland makes it though. Even though I'm also Italian. The best way for both of them to make it is for Ireland to win the group because I think Italy can win a play off based solely on being able to win anywhere due to that "style" of "football" they play.

We have a chance against all the teams apart from Italy but if we got 3 from 6 off the Itialians we should quailfy. Under Trap we wont leak as many Goals as we did in previous years!!!
Ye have got very well in the last 10yrs, do you think ye have a chance at the World Cup???? Like a real chance???

If we can get out of the group stage I think it'd be excellent. We got kind of screwed in 06 against Ghana but we should've decimated the Czechs so we may have deserved it. It all depends on who we draw if it follows the same template we'll have:

Euro Team (top seed)
Euro Team (through the play-offs)
USA
African Team.

If we can get 3 off the Africans, (hopefully it'll be someone like Angola or Tunisia and not Nigeria or Cameroon) we should also be able to draw , if not beat the lower level Euro team if their a Poland type, since we've beaten them 3-0 on their soil during our domestic offseason. 6 points guarantees making it through and I think if we get 4 we should get through as the 2nd place team in our group. Anything can happen in the knockout stages of a football tournament as well.

All that being said, If we go into the 3rd game with a possibility of making it through I'd consider it a success. If we make the knockout stages I'll be ecstatic.

Lmao. I actually correctly filled out the quaterfinalists of 06 all the way down until the end of the tournament. The only game I got wrong after the Ro16 was the 3rd place game. I actually had the wall-chart in my locker in 9th grade lol. Believe me buddy, 2010 will be here before you know it and honestly...CAN'T GET HERE SOON ENOUGH
