How was Mutu over rated? he came, he settled form Italy, scored goals
was a top player, left foot, right foot head and a free kick taker..
dont get much better than that mate. . would have made a bettr acquisiton than that Seba Veron anyway.

Mutu is 1 of only a handful of players that come to mind. 1 of a handful that came to england from serie a and played well

I like the way England fans dismiss the 'little' teams ...

Romania hasn't had many 'truly great' players ...

I know this ... but our players have one attribute that England players don't
have ... pride and passion for their country !!

England fans expect to fail - then they fail - then they get bitter because they
failed !

To boo the new national coach after 27 minutes of his new reign was disgraceful
in my eyes !!

So despite not many world class players - we are proud of our country for making
Euro 2008 win or lose !

For the record Steaua Bucuresti have been in the same amount of Champions
League finals as Manchester United ! And they actually won it with players who
were ALL Romanian - and played for NO money ....

Now that's what I call pride - how many England players would do this - NONE
because they like the cash too much !!

Yes we'll be partying at Euro 2008 for sure - win or lose - shame England aren't invited ...

Yes,but this is past tense Carly.Everybody like money today.It's all money,money,money....
Steaua have been Europien Champion without money and without foreign players(just like Red Star 1991).......but this was almost 20 years ago.Football is so defferent than it was.Do you think that today everybody likes the club wich heplay for?NO.....it's all money today,unfortunately.

for no money ...

Mainly because the game in Romania has no money !!!

But despite these hardships - and the inablility to offer our guys a single penny in
bonuses for advancing further in the competitions ... Romania always seem to
qualify for WC and Euro ...... Ranked number 12 in the world too ...

I really don't know how they do yhis - but they do ...

Well,if Romania has no money,what can I say for Serbian league.Our best players are almost without wages.In January one of the best ranked serbian player Ranko Despotovic came to Rapid from Vojvodina and in one interview he said that he is absolutely delighted with Rapid,comparing it with best western europien clubs.

I also wonder sometimes,why are football players,afterall?

I haven't thought of Romania as a 'little team' since they beat us in the '98 World Cup and in Euro 2000.
