Fergie to Surprise us?
Is there any truth in this? I was reading upon this Berbatov article and it said

Dimitar Berbatov has been included in Tottenham's squad to face Middlesbrough despite reports he is close to joining Manchester United.
The Bulgarian's whereabouts had been the subject of conjecture for most of the morning, with continued reports he was completing the finer details of a move to Old Trafford.

However, he disembarked the Spurs bus at Middlesbrough wearing a club tracksuit and with a baseball cap pulled tightly to his head, before sidling through the players' entrance.

United boss Sir Alex Ferguson added fuel to the fire with his remark during his Friday press conference there would be a "surprise" to come in the next 48 hours.


Did anyone watch the press conference? If so did he say this, and what dyou think it could be?

Dimi is on the subs bench. Spurs playing with a lone striker (Bent) vs Boro.

Yes i saw the press conference and yes Fergie did say this, also Dimitar is on the bench and surely that says that his minds elsewhere otherwise he would be starting for Spurs ?

I think the move could be close ?

we had to have berbs signed by yesterday 5pm for him to play on sunday.
hes also on the bench for spurs today.

Lol, that was my initial thought.

However, Fergie's comment has intrigued me. Unless Fergie doesn't read the papers then just about everyone thinks we'll sign Berbatov so if it's a surprise...who will we sign?

The surprise could well be Huntelaar but even that isn't really a surprise isit, either way it looks like Berba's leaving Spurs.
