Starting XI for 09-10
Considering probable transfers out this summer, this is what I would like to see next season;
Transfers Out: Ronaldo, Tevez, Berbatov, Neville
Transfers In: Benzema, Ribery
---------------VDS/Foster---------------
-----------------------------------------
-Brown----Ferdinand------Vidic------Evra-
-----------------------------------------
---------------Hargreaves----------------
-----------------------------------------
-Ribery----------Carrick-------------Nani-
-----------------------------------------
---------Benzema------Rooney-----------
Hopefully Nani can improve as a player and perform consistently
Scholes can slot into Carricks position for some games (likewise with Hargreaves/Fletcher)
Bayern Munich are looking for 100m for Ribery, but i hope we can get him at a more reasonable fee. 30m at the very most, no player is worth more than about 35m or so.
It will be important to get Brown and Evra back to their very best.
Unfortunately VDS is on his way out, so it will ba a good chance to slowly get Foster up to the quality keeper that I believe he can be.
I have a feeling that Rooney and Benzema would have a great partnership up front (remember Cole/Yorke)
I'm sure their are plenty of better options that I haven't thought of. So what do you all think?

Pretty stupid transfers you've got there. If I am to believe what SAF has said about Nani, then I'd like this to be the first xi - it's still unlikely that we're going to get Ribery.
Van der sar
Rafael Ferdinand Vidic Evra
Ronaldo Carrick Hargreaves Nani
Berbatov Rooney

Tevez for 30m, no thanks
Berbatov is a waste of space
Ronaldo is quickly losing value as each season passes, so I think we should cash in tbh

----- VDS / Foster / NEW SIGNING #1 -----
----- Rafael / Brown / O'Shea ----- Rio / J. Evans ----- Vidic / C. Evans / Chester ----- Evra / Fabio -----
----- Carrick / Fletcher / Possebon / Scholes ----- Hargreaves / Anderson / Gibson / Giggs -----
----- Ronaldo / Park / Drinkwater ---------- NEW SIGNING #2 / Ljajic ---------- NEW SIGNING #3 / Nani / Tosic -----
----- Rooney / Macheda / Welbeck / Campbell -----
First off the departures, i can see Tevez and Berba leaving, both aren't good enough to partner Rooney and be the Shearer to his Owen, both have voiced disenchantment with how Fergie plays his squad, Ronny will stay...
Neville has to call it a day, sorry but hes just not at the top level anymore...
New signing #1 would be based on PiG leaving, possibly Kameni or Lee Grant (younger keeper)
New signing #2 would be either an attacking midfielder in the Kaka mould, or a striker to partner Rooney ala Benzema or Dzeko...
New signing #3 is the big one, definitely our weakest area, would much prefer this to be a huge signing, Ashley Young or Franck Ribery...
I feel we definitely need a goalscoring midfielder, the likes of a Lampard / Gerrard / Modric type player is sorely missed....

Fergie won't give up on Berbatov this early, and be made to look a dick.

I'm not implying hes bad, but we need a partnership, we need a Yorke/Cole - Shearer/Owen, Berbatov doesn't compliment Rooneys style of play at all...

Ronaldo have stated more than once the facts we all know by now.
And some patience will do no harm when talking about Berbatov.
2. As a fan of Nani myself, I still say that he's nowhere near first team material. He needs a good, solid pre season, and some competitive matches under his belt to actually evaluate if he should be in the first 11, day in day out.
3. If you're consider putting Nani in the first 11, then Anderson should be there too, because he deserves it more than the Portuguese does.
4. Van Der Sar will be only on his way out at the end of next season,
He looks nowhere near the end of his career, and to conclude, both Foster and Thomasz need a lot of off field work to do to replace the Dutch man.

Transfers in: Benzema, Valencia
Tranfers out: Tevez, Nani
Tevez will leave, but Bberatov and Ronaldo will be staying, it doesn't matter if Ronaldo is losing value each season because i love him at United, he is still no.1 or no.2 in the world so why sell him. Berbatov just needs time IMO, he will come good next season, he said that he still gets nervous when playing for United.
I would like to see this squad next season.
Ben Foster
Evra - Ferdinand - Vidic - O'Shea
Valencia - Anderson - Carrick - Ronaldo
Benzema - Rooney
