Nah seriously though, I do think he's "worthy" of the number 7 shirt, I think the people who didn't want him were beginning to warm, but now they've found this out they're beginning to doubt him once more, but after seeing 2 or 3 interviews now, I'm pleased he got number 7

i normally agree with you on things HD but this time i dont share your views on owen, where taking a risk even signing him, im going to support him as i would any united player but i just feel his best days are past and hes prone to a knock, just think some happy semi pro player in pre season makes a rash challange and clatters him then what, where short in the striking department cause welbeck and macheda aint ready just yet.
i dont want a player we have to wrap up in cotton wool, i for the life of me hopes he proves me wrong but giving him the 7 is almost a disrespect imo he may WANT to play for united now and prove himself be he also WANTED to play for newcastle and look what happened there.

@Carlo
I was taking the p!ss, i hated that CR7 business, hopefully this one doesn't take off...
That said, i'm starting to come round to Owen been given the number 7 jersey, could well shoot his confidence through the roof, making him all the more dangerous...
No worries on the MO7 thing mate

I think giving Michael Owen the #7 is a bit risky, but if he proves he is good enough to play with the #7 then i happy with that, i hope he does really well for us this season. MO7.
