He is more of a winger than a centre forward to be honest, then again it comes down to personal opinion. You want the number 7 to be worn by a future "legend" no matter what position, yet I really dont like seeing it on a centre forward like lets say a Rooney.

Petrucci has barely even played for the reserves, he will be getting nowhere near the 7 shirt next season.

I dont think ashley young is fit to wear the shirt and i don't think rooney fits the number 7 shirt. Its not about him being a striker though. Raul has the 7 shirt for madrid. Cantona had it before for united before beckhams. Its about the player.

Lets see who fergie is interested in/gets before deciding on a new number 7 just to know who is coming in. One thing for sure, it'll be weird not seeing 'our boy ronaldo' wearing the 7 shirt nomore.

Didn't think you were being serious otherwise I would have had a lot more to say.
Anyway the end is nigh. Appocalypse now. Somewhere in the Bible it states that a sign of the end of the world is when Utd sell the only player that can win anything for us. Championship after next season, then relegated again, at least we will be able to have grudge matches against Leeds again then!!

i know, atleast its happened pretty early so it might simmer down slightly and if we are to sign someone big then maybe it will focus more on that.
