And he looks really strong, will out muscle a lot of players. handy against some overly physical sides.

Valencia have been helping the team defensively more than offensively
he is using his pace stamina strength and workrate to help the defence on the right flank and he is doing it good so far so he is playing more as a wingback
against Arsenal he was frustrating and he didn't attack allot
hopefully we the best of him next match

So far he looks like he can go passed most left backs at will.

To me he looks like a rabbit in headlights, frightened to shoot, as though he doesnt have the confidence to believe he really should be a Utd player. Hope that changes soon, it is frustrating to have a player with a burst of speed and skill who can go past defenders, only then to crap himself when faced with the goal and pass back to someone else. Shoot son, its where goals and confidence comes from!!!

i think its a bit too early to really judge the lad yet. yes he hasnt hit the ground running but its a big move from wigan to united and im sure once hes played himself into the team/club he will start to express himself more as we know he lieks to pull the trigger from anywhere!

Valencia is like Ronaldo in his first 3 years.
they tend to go for the byline, and when they cut in, they would look to pass back to one of the CM and not getting a shot in or anything.

Valencia is a lot older and mroe experienced than Ronaldo was in his first three years so the comparison doesn't really work.
I still have high hopes for him though but everybody needs to stop the Ronaldo comparisons.

Ronaldo > valencia first three years and every year afterwards it is very unfair to compare new players with the old , ronaldos boots are too big for valencia to fill he is the best player in the world for gods sake.
Valencia will be a very effective player for us as long as fergie keeps picking him , fergie tends to go with park in the big matches much to my disgust.

I think right now he looks reluctant to try things. He looks to be playing it quite simply rather than trying to express himself. He is just settling in atm though, so hopefully that changes. He doesn't come across as an arrogant person which may be part of the problem. But I'm sure if he can build up his confidence we'll see more from him.

ive been more than happy with the start of valencias career at United. Shown what he can offer and im sure once he settles in a little more he will start to express himself more in an attackign sense (taking people on and shooting)

I'm sure he will improve, he needs more games and confidence and to know his team-mates well.

i think he can be better than Ronaldo,he will definetly be more of a team player. i dont think he will score 30 goals or anything, but 15-20 is within his range.

after all, Ronaldo was playing mostly as a forward instead of a winger.

Valencia had a great game for Ecuador by all accounts.
Check out his pace and finish for the second goal and the run and cross for the 3rd
The lad has pace to burn. Let's hope he is good to go on Saturday.

Thanks mate that saves me searching for it later.
Great finish by Valencia but he had so much time and space he won't get that in the premiership.
