I'm not sure it's unattractive. I mean we knew Ronaldo wanted to go to Madrid for years. Benzema could have joined us depending on who you believe. But it's been happening for a long time that foreign players prefer Barca or Madrid to us, or even the Milan clubs and Juve. In the 90s we lost out to a few good players to the Italian clubs.

Ribery wants to go to Madrid. Meh. The German league is one of the highest goalscoring league, and Ribery plays for one of the best teams and yet hasn't set the world alight in Germany. Plus he might eat his only Madrid comments as David Silva could be next for them. So where does he go from there? And Madrid won't play over the top over him, just like they wouldn't with Villa. They will only pay over the top for players they could market, and Ribery sadly with his looks isn't one of them. Hope we get Madrid in the final so we can give them a good tonking at their own squad because thats what this insane spending is leading to.

Well I think its just something we have to live with, because the club is located in Britian, it just simply will never be as attractive as a leading club in Spain or Italy. Modern players prefer a better lifestyle to a more sensible decision based purely on football.
