Interesting, believable and also very sad that we are so low in that table.

Looking at the rankings above. If they were then worked out in proportion to capacity, we would be bottom. Smaller ground producing greater noise. But it aint about the amount of noise we produce, no good making lots of sound if its misdirected and the players are not feeding off with obvious effects (Barca semi is classic example of us being 12th man)

The other problem is at crucial times when support is needed the most, eg last 10 mins of a game, a large number of fans are leaving early to try and beat the traffic. But answer me this, would you pay for a three course meal and then go before dessert. Would you go to a Madonna concert and leave 3 songs from the end? £45 for ticket equates to 50p per minute. Leaving in the 80th minute as many fans were on Wednesday and have done in other day 3pm ko games means your giving up on £5 worth of football or over a PL season missing out on two games worth of football.

These people will have missed Macheda vs Villa, Owen vs City, Ferdinand, Saturday and they are what I go to a game for. To sit back in years to come, read and re-live the scenes and then think I WAS THERE, not sat in my car driving past Trafford Centre thinking "I am gonna get home 20 mins earlier". United have ticket holders not supporters

That's something I really don't understand, leaving early. In my eye's it's as bad as booing your team. Don't remember what game it was but recently there was a big proportion leaving after about 60 mins, unbelievable!!!
Last time I was at OT we got the canal barge down from Castlefield and nearly missed the return trip due to hanging around lol. Anyone else take this trip, great fun, they also had a special on, 2 free beers going and two coming back. Great craic.

i was fortunate enough to get to the Barca semi through a spare season ticket and there were people leaving with 10 mins to go in that one so no game and no occassion is too big for early leavers. The worst I have done is gone for a pie and piss (not in that order) three mins before half time to avoid queuing and i felt guilty doing that.

Wouldn't like to see it but maybe a period of low success could benefit the atmosphere, it would get rid of the plastics and could force the glazers to lower ticket prices, thus more true supporters getting in and that can only benefit the atmosphere.

So here's hoping for many years of miserable failure.

wow.....i didn't know all these things....

have you ever seen the atmosphere in the stadium of olympiacos?the team i support in greece?

anyway i want to say that some of the things i read are outrageous!!

1 fans asking you to sit down and shut up...this is unbelievable...here in greece everybody is standing in the stadiums and if there is anything that a fellow supporter would tell you is:Get on your feet!Louder!
and if you don't he ll grab you and force you to chant!

2 staff ordering you to sit down?are you serious guys?

3 leaving earlier?i can not understand this...if you want to avoid the traffic stay 10 minutes later than leave 10 minutes before(olympiacos hardcore fans (gate7) stay one hour later)!!!!!

something must be done about that....give the daytrippers the lyrics of our chants and get one fan with a loudspeaker in every stand like we do here in greece!

ps this is what it's like here in greece!

    YouTube - Olympiakos Gate 7

    YouTube - gate 7-arrwstia sto mualo...by xazouli7

    YouTube - ???? 7 ?? ?????????

watch it....and yes i can say i have been there!i would love it if united had this kind of support as i absolutely love united!

I'd love it but the majority wouldn't. I've often thought I'd like to have a megaphone at the game but I think I'm loud enough as it is!! lol

Get rid of all the numptys, lower ticket prices, some new grounds to go to. Winning isnt everything and it'd be better than the present situation, not that its gonna ever happen in the near future.

And a megaphone is a terible idea.

It'd p!ss off the numpties i usually get sat with who tell me to be quiet!!

A feeling I miss that hasn't happened for a long time is standing up and starting a song/chant then thousands joining in, it gives me the shiver up the spine, I think those days are nearly over though.
There's also things like if you book a hospitality package then you're not allowed to wear a football shirt/jeans etc. One of these days they'll stop all supporters from singing/wearing team colours etc. It'll be a sad day indeed

Seriously, if your going for a hospitality package then you're not even allowed to wear a Utd tie!!!! No colours allowed at all, formal dress only, it's a feckin joke. I was about to book a suite last time we came over as there was a few of us and it wasn't much more than the tickets would have cost us untill I read the rules. F*** that! If I'm going to OT I'm wearing a shirt. Even when I watch the game at home I wear my shirts. It's getting ridiculous

Don't have a go at him about it, do you even go to games? I've been going to OT since the 70's and I've seen a dramatic decline in atmosphere over the last 10 years or so. It's a joke at best nowadays, alright you'll get a good atmosphere at the big games but I can't afford to go to those anymore nor can many, but for the majority of the games our so called fan's are useless
