and was injured november, whats ur point?
i AGREE THAT THE 'LOVERS' CAN QUICKLY BECOME 'HATERS' AFTER A BAD GAME,AND MANY WROTE HIM OFF FOR MISSING THE SITTER AGAINST bLACKBURN.fOR ME THIS LAD HAS SHOWN MORE QUIALITY ON THE BALL,LACK OF FEAR AND HAS A DECENT END PRODUCT.....NAIN'S FLASH OF CLASS WAS VERY MUCH SHORT LIVED,AND THE JURY IS OUT ON HIM.I THINK COMING BACK TO OBERTAN IN 6 MONTHS OR SO,MAYBE EVEN A YEAR AND ALOT WILL SEE THE QUALITY THE LAD POSSES.IF IM WRONG THEN SO BE IT,IT WONT BE THE FIRST TIME!! BUT THIS LAD HAS SOMETHING ELSE
^^^^^sorry for caps, dint realise it was on,cba reposting![]()
Mate there's only so much patience people can have with a player like Nani, he clearly has the potential, but whether he will ever fufill it is another thing. His decision making is awful and atm he is a hinderence rather than a help, all he does is lose the ball. His confidence is completely shot, now here is where i agree with you, people need to get off his back and instead build him up. The fans now just expect him to play crap and Fergie seems to have practically given up on him... I think he should start him and tell the fans to get behind him, people are calling for a Ronaldo, give Nani a chance.
I dont understand posts doubting Berbatov's talent..his talent is world class..at Tottenhma he was a bloody brilliant striker..the team was built around him there and it clearly worked for him..here he has to work around the team which is a massive difference..even when he plays for Bulgaria, the team is built around him,for he is the focal point of almost all attacks, hence he tends to score more.
He just hasnt been able to completely synchronize his game with the squad at the moment, which is disappointing to say the least, but he's only 28,he's the type that doesnt waste too much energy too,so he can go on with the ability to play in top form for a good few years yet..i still have faith..he's got too much talent to be written off..plus the pressure he has on him with that price tag doesnt really help his situation..im sticking with him..
Without ron we just have no flair, so were playing pretty boring footie.
what would people prefer to see. boring football that gets us titles or Arsenal-like dream football where we win sod all. Whatever it takes to win the final prizes for me.
Its very rare however that winners are usually boring.
Read into mine more and you would know i meant Berbatov sucks in our setup, we pride ourselves on fast attacking football, hes the first player i can think of who slows a game down to a halt, he does not fit into our team...
Hes undoubtedly hugely talented, but not for us (Forlan?)
Formation for an attacking footie that we are still capable of playing with the current squad:
--------------------TK
Rafael-------MC----------Vidic--------Evra
Valencia-Anderson---Fletcher---Obertan
-------------Rooney---Nani-----
This formation is still capable of providing good entertainment value without loss of pace. And if nani still sucks in that free role, I'll sub him for Giggs or Carrick if we get another CB back. However, the "Kaiser Ayatollah Komeni" alias Village Headmaster called SAF will never play this line-up in a million years.
I would say the Premier League hasn't seen as many cracking games in the past two months than in the first couple of months of the season. Injuries and the colder weather have been a factor, I think, so I don't believe United are the sole "boring" team on show. What is noticeable, and hasn't changed from the early going, is that our overall scoring fire power is lacking without Cristiano. We have to be honest and say that he got us out of a lot of jams over the past couple of years when we needed goals, so the squad we haven't isn't suddenly doing much different. They just aren't able to come up with the goals on command that Ronaldo had the ability to score. Therefore, having CR for the past couple of years disguised the need for more scorers around him. Just think how many we would have scored if there had been another in the team who could have netted thirty? Defenders would not have been able to double up on Ronaldo. I think the criticism of Rooney now is more about him failing to do not only his job for the team, but Ronaldo's as well. As impressed as I've been by Valencia, a winger charging past a left back to put in crosses is really only effective if you've got a big target man mixing it up with the goalie ten times per match.
I'd have to admit I'd rather have someone more suited to our style, but we just spent 30 million on Berbatov, buying Owen in the process and Macheda, Welbeck coming through. I just can't see us buying another top striker. Were not going to recoup near enough for it being worth selling Berba, so were just going to have to change our style to accommodate Berba. I'm glad you see it that way because hes not rubbish, the way Stephen and abo think. He just doesn't suit our game.
