To be honest I thought Vidic was acting the ballox today. Gave away far too many free kicks, failed to pass back to the keeper at the right time and generally moaned at the referee too often. I don't rate him as highly as I used to, he's gone from World Class to a solid 8/9 out of 10.

Darren Fletcher swung in a near-post cross from the right flank, Giggs deflected it to Rooney, and the lurking England man prodded home from close-range.

though the official utd site says giggs missed it.

watched the goal 4 times now and it does look like there's a slight defelection, as in slow motion the ball changes direction slightly.

who's assist ? i'd say it was fletch really.
