That's what the commentator said, but the replay from the sideline angle showed that he didn't actually get a touch. Plus there was no change in the ball's spin.

To be honest I thought Vidic was acting the ballox today. Gave away far too many free kicks, failed to pass back to the keeper at the right time and generally moaned at the referee too often. I don't rate him as highly as I used to, he's gone from World Class to a solid 8/9 out of 10.

watched the goal 4 times now and it does look like there's a slight defelection, as in slow motion the ball changes direction slightly.
