    If Pompey wind up
I have just read that we'll be docked 6 points along with Arsenal, Chelsea 3 and liverpool none. We'll have a game in hand though, because liverpool and Chelsea won't play against portsmouth.

On a side note, I hope they don't take away Rooney's goals. He scored 4 against portsmouth

It won't happen....if it did the FA wouldn't be able to leave their office without being battered by angry fans.

Media trying to stir something up as usual.

That really is a load of bollocks. If Pompey go out of business and can't play any more football for the rest of the season really the only way to make the League fair would be to wipe all the results clean. It's totally unfair to dock points from teams who have already played Pompey, because who knows if the teams who aren't losing points (who haven't played against Pompey twice) might have dropped points in those games anyway?

Since I don't see other teams allowing all the results to be wiped clean, I doubt whether Pompey will actually go out of business.

As was already mentioned, if Pompey do go out of business, then all their results would be wiped off for this season. Apparently there are several potential buyers for Pompey, but can't imagine why anyone would want to buy!!

would it not be fairer to call the furture fixtures as void and a 3-0 win to the teams to play them?

well i cant see a fair way out of it so,

take points of the teams that have played them and it aint fair on them.

is there not a rule if u cant field a team u forfit 3-0?

at the end of the season the powers that be may look in pompeys problems cos will they be able to forfill a season in the championship on less tv and gate money?

    i doubt it.

that would be totally unfair to take away the points which have been won etc

but other teams that have yet to play them again would have a game in hand otherwise!

    its all a mess

There's no way the FA would allow this to happen. Think of the disruption it would cause to the season, they'd be a complete mockery.
